Love Scenes @ the Bend
One of our personal favorites (and contenders for local band of the year), Love Scenes will be treating us to a set tonight at Allentown's, the Bend. The bands been making waves this past year with their sentimental brand of electronic "break ya heart" music. If you haven't heard em do yourself a favor and go to their website now. After the show, you can drown your sorrow's at the Pink or anyone of your favorite bars in the area (Isn't that what Allen's for???) Show starts at 10pm.
Wham! Bam! Thank you...Slam: BIF Bourlesque & Poetry Showcase
Looking for something a little out of the ordinary? If you've always wanted to check out a burlesque troupe, hear hot girls tell erotic tales or get your fill of poetry (?), there's a Costume Party around the corner ready to accommodate your needs. Nietzsche's tonight will be hosting the Wham! Bam! Thank you...Slam: An eccentric mix of idea's and shit that's just really cool. You have DJ's, Stripteasters, MC's, poets and all kinds of characters dressed in costume doing their thang tonight and it's only $3 (with costume). Something tells me this is the ideal place to do some prime people watching. Starts at 8pm.
Satan's Luau
If Satan had a Luau, it would be pretty bad-ass. I can imagine him serving Flaming Moes to pirates while go-go girls danced behind the skeletons of dead rock stars. Of course, we don't really know what a satanic luau would look like...we can only guesstimate. One thing is for sure though: If Satan did have a Luau in Buffalo, it would definitely be at Club Diablo. The place is littered with satanic imagery, and is a popular destination for those coercing the little devil on their shoulder. Tonight is as good as any for a show (8pm) and some bad intentions. Come get drunk and rage tonight with the B-Side Dubs, Anger is a Gift (Rage cover band) and Do it With Malice. Satan would have wanted it that way.
Movies @ Merge
All the show's and bands might be wearing on you by now. It's understandable. Infringment is an 11 day fest and it's sometimes overwhelming. If you just want to find something relaxing tonight that doesn't require any standing (or even drinking), head on down to Merge and catch a flick. Tonight's showing is 2012, the film by Daniel Pinchback about "transformational living." The atmosphere is chill and it might be a good day to re-charge your batteries, because tomorrow promises to be one of the hottest day's at Infringement this year. Check back for tomorrow's preview.
