Last night, Consequence of Sound announced post-surf noise rockers Wavves will be touring with Toronto hardcore outfit Fucked Up, and lucky for us, they will be ending their tour here in Buffalo, at the Town Ballroom. Wavves and Fucked Up collaborated on a track from Wavves' forthcoming EP entitled Life Sux (available Sept. 20th), and obviously the two groups did a bit of bonding. The band plans on making videos for each of the songs on Life Sux, and no doubt will play most of the tracks (hopefully the song "Destroy", their collaboration with Fucked Up) from the new EP. They have been collaborating with lots of different artists (including indie rockers Best Coast, and Wu-Tang's GZA for some live "Liquid Swords") and have continued to smear the genre lines critics impose on them. Fucked Up is still touring in support of their critically acclaimed rock opera David Comes To Life, and though it is doubtful that they will play the album from beginning to end, they will definitely gravitate to that material. This is definitely going to be a must see. The show is Oct. 2nd, and though ticket information is not yet available, buffaBLOG will have that information as soon as it becomes available.
