Tonight, Nashville-based group The Farewell Drifters will be coming through Sportsmen's Tavern, which seems like the perfect venue for their acoustic, bluegrass-meets-country-meets-folk sound. Their music is upbeat and uplifting, with hooky, happy-go-lucky lyrics and intricate background harmonies. Additionally, how many 5-piece bands do you see these days that don't need electricity? These guys don't - there's two acoustic guitars, a mandolin, a banjo, and a stand-up bass. The show begins at 7 p.m. and admission is $10.
