This week's Uncovered Cover finds Vampire Weekend covering "Everywhere". The band takes the dreamy, relatively soft rocking number from Fleetwood Mac's 1987 Tango in the Night album, and while they don't exactly turn it into one of the higher speed rocking numbers ala "A-Punk" or "Cousins", they certainly inject a bit more life into the song as the simple, yet foot tapping drum beat backs the equally simple guitar melody, creating a pleasantly quirky take on the Fleetwood Mac classic. While VW front man Ezra Koenig can not replicate the trademark Fleetwood Mac harmonies, is always youthful vocals give the song a sense of innocence that the original lacked.
