Have you ever wanted to get involved with the Good Neighborhood? Well, tonight may be your chance. Stop over to the Sportsman Tavern in the ever growing Black Rock District right after work today at 5:30 for a "friend" raiser. Notice it is not called a "fund" raiser as entry is free of charge. The only contribution that will be asked of you at the event is your ideas, thoughts, and suggestions. While there, take the time to introduce yourself to the many supporters, contributors, and friends of the Good Neighborhood and don't hesitate to tell them about an event that needs promoting or something you think they could do better. An open bar will be available for the first hour (5:30 - 6:30) and we all know the ideas just seem to flow after one or two drinks. Not to mention, a free koozy from Park Avenue Imprints! Although no specific bands are scheduled, the monthly "friend" raisers tend to attract local singer songwriters, many of whom are involved in the Good Neighborhood in some fashion, for an impromptu jam session.
