On September 13th, chillwave group Neon Indian will release Era Extrana, the follow up to their 2009 debut Psychic Chasms.  To help promote the album, the band released a tongue in cheek instructional infomercial on how to use their Pal198X Synth.  Apparently, the limited edition analog synthesizer, which creates ambient noises from household objects(so says the video at least), comes with the deluxe package of  Era Extrana.  The video shows Neon Indian front man Alan Palomo and crew hard at work in the testing facilities of the probably not real Static Tongue Industries.  My personal favorite creation is the Tela Touch.  Is it me or does the video remind you at all of those great Dharma instruction videos from Lost?  Between Palomo's subtle flirting with his co-worker to the awkward looks as the credits roll at the end of the video, you could find worse ways to kill a few minutes on a Wednesday.  Enjoy.
