The 2012 nominees for induction to Cleveland's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been announced. First-time nominees are the Cure, Eric B. & Rakim, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Guns N' Roses, Heart, Rufus with Chaka Khan, the Small Faces/the Faces, the Spinners, and Freddie King. Repeat nominees are the Beastie Boys, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Laura Nyro, Donovan, War, and Donna Summer.
Each year, five new artists get in. If I had a vote, I'd go with Eric B. & Rakim, the Beastie Boys, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, War, and the Cure. But I don't have a vote, so that doesn't matter. Which five would you pick? Has the committee missed anyone?
