Tonight, Artvoice is throwing a vintage punk rock fiesta at Nietzsche's entitled "Rocket to Allentown". The show has a lineup of damn near twenty bands, including the Chosen Ones, Cowboys of Scotland, Wolf Tickets, the Slip, the Sleepy Sparrows, and Dick Whiskey, to just name a few, blasting out vintage punk from the 70's and 80's. The day after Sugar City's Punk Night got everyone yearning for more, Nietzsche's will be blasting out tracks by the New York Dolls, the Clash, the Ramones, the Sex Pistols, the Buzzcocks, Patti Smith, Blondie, the Dead Kennedys, Crass, and probably every other vintage punk band you could ever think of. So don't put that leather jacket with all the safety pins on it back in the closet just yet. You would be wise to gel those spikes up, give yourself an impromptu facial piercing, and head down to Nietzsche's around 9pm. It'll cost you $5 to get in, but there will be the typical front and back stages, and the music should be going almost last call.
