Tonight: Scott H. Biram

Trying to put a classification on Scott H. Biram is pointless because you'll fail. Call it blues, call it country, call it punk; Biram's music is strictly for the renegades.  Roots-music thats confidently arrogant and full of edgy swagger, your bound to be drawn in by his attitude alone.  While not exactly re-inventing the wheel (I'm sure he could care less), Biram manages to sound fresh, relevant and inspires a spirited quality similiar to those old outlaw country musicians of yesteryear.  Tragedy has befallen this man several times in his life (in 2003 he was almost killed after being struck by a semi-truck) but injury be damned; he just played the gigs in wheelchairs with IV's still in his arms. You have to appreciate that kind of dedication. Biram brings his one-man show to Mohawk Place tonight (8pm) with some special guests. My advice? See this man this evening before he hits the big-time. Your indie cred will soar.
