About a week ago, Matador Records announced that Ontario-based hardcore sextet Fucked Up will be performing their latest release, and hardcore rock opera, David Comes To Life, at historic art / music venue Le Poisson Rouge in New York's Greenwich Village. The album will be played start to finish, and will the debut performance for many of the tracks. Additionally, the band will be performing in the round (i.e. surrounded by their audience), and garage-punk bandTitus Andronicus will be opening the show. The show happens on Nov. 14th at the aforementioned venue, however it is sold out. However, living in the age of Stub Hub, for the right price, a few tickets can be had. If the money for the tickets, and the trip to one of Lower Manhattan's more expensive areas is at your disposal, this should be a "don't miss" event.
I would so be there if it wasn't on a Monday, I'd have to call in sick for 2 days to do it. I've actually heard rumblings they're going to add a 2nd show, so I wouldn't spend crazy money on stubhub just yet...
