Baltimore-based gloom rockers Arbouretum will take the stage at Mohawk Place tonight at 8. Their sound is heavy and sprawling, with frontman Dave Heumann's poetic lyrics and distinctive voice serving as the icing on a psychedelic stoner rock layer cake. Arboretum released their fifth album, The Gathering, in February. Though it only has seven tracks, The Gathering is rife with meditations on war, disaster, mythology, and redemption.
