Minus the Bear is coming to the Town Ballroom tonight. Hailing from Seattle, Washington, their music has been described as "Pele-esque guitar-taps and electronics with sophisticated time signature composition" - sounds interesting, huh? After listening to a few tracks, it seems to me that this is indie music with a keen sense of rhythm; unlike most other chordy, guitar-dominated indie stuff, Minus the Bear's style is more dominated by the drummer and bassist. As a bass player myself, that's refreshing. Doors open at 7 p.m., and admission is $24.
