Tonight: Yo Gabba Gabba

It's time to dance, Buffalo! Whether you have kids, you are a kid, or you just like to space out and groove to Nick jr., you'll know that Yo Gabba Gabba! is the show to watch.

Featured on Nick jr. since 2007, the show has been host to a number of indie rock bands. Almost all of the songs that are performed during the 'super music friends show' segment, are written by the Yo Gabba Gabba! production team.  Bands that have been featured on the show include Smoosh, The Aquabats, Super Nova, The Aggrolites, The Postmarks, The Salteens, Shiny Toy Guns, The Shins, and MGMT.  Some of the favorites of the songs include 'Don't Bite Your Friends", "Bananas", "Up and Down", and "I'm So Happy I Can Dance".  The show presents a number of songs per episode including a remix of all the songs together at the end, with some sick beats you can't help but move to.

Each episode also features a special guest host, along side host and presenter 'DJ Lance Rock', with the guest presenting a new dance move during 'dancy dance time'.  Some guests include Jack Black, Sugarland, Andy Samberg, Tony Hawk, The Roots, Elijah Wood, Of Montreal, and Sean Kingston.  The show was created by Christian Jacobs (the lead singer of the Aquabats) and Scott Schultz, and is presented by Lance Robertson (aka DJ Lance Rock).

DJ Lance is bringing the whole Gabba crew to the UB's Center for the Arts on Tuesday, October 4th at 4:00pm and 7:00pm.  They will turn the stage into Gabba Land as Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Plex and Toodie join hip hop legend Biz Markie and Razzle Dazzle Superstar Leslie Hall in a dance off extravaganza.  This show promises to be fun for any age so get your dancing shoes on and come on down to Gabba Land, where new friends are always welcome!
