Dillon Francis, just keeps on churning out remixes lately. He has found quite the distinct sound, which is hard to describe, but is almost like a whistling noise(listen to I.D.F.A.F.O.S) and is really going with it. When a DJ tends to keep the same sound it can become mundane and eventually falls to the wayside. Francis, on the other hand, finds new ways to make his sound relevant and something I want to dance to. Todays remix is of a very popular DJ in Steve Aoki. The track being remixed here is "Earthquakey People." Not exactly my favorite track before the remix, but found it rather interesting that the track includes Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo giving us the tune vocals in a rapping form. Dillon Francis though, took it under his wing and transformed it in to the beginning track on a new playlist for my iTunes. Stay warm, be happy, have a wonderful holiday!
