The local four-piece outfit, Aircraft, is described on their website as being “a unique blend of refined and cacophonous sound.” While I initially take pride in having an expansive vocabulary, I had to look this one up. Apparently the word cacophonous is from the Greek root kakos which essentially means bad, and is defined by Oxford as “involving or producing a harsh, discordant mixture of sounds.” So yeah...there’s still that refined part. If you’re disinclined to etymologically surveying a description of Aircraft to find out if you like them then you’re in luck, because they happen to have a bandcamp website. Like me, you might find that these guys are sounding pretty teras (amazing)! Either way, head out to Mohawk Place tonight to check ‘em out! The show starts at 9:00 with opening acts White Bison and On Beta. Admission is a mere $5.

these guys are great live
