If you haven't seen local rock band Ramforinkus perform yet, then you really can't afford to skip out on Saturday night. Ramforinkus will be finishing out the night for us with a high energy, entertaining set around 1 am. The band has grown to an impressive 7 person lineup featuring 2 percussionists (one with a tape machine), electric violin (newest member is Evan Courtin of Peanut Brittle Satellite), and a trombone in addition to the common guitars and bass. Each member brings a different sound and style to the band which creates a very eclectic live show where no two sets are the same. The band is debuting two new songs Saturday night and their next album is almost complete.
In a recent conversation with one of their guitarists about where I should categorize Ramforinkus musically, we landed somewhere around "freak rock".... I realize this doesn't make much sense but that's pretty much all you need to know before seeing this band. They can get weird on stage (last show I saw them there was a discussion on how much they love carrots), their lyrics have questionable meanings but there is one thing for certain... they are talented musicians. I am certainly looking forward to watching Ramforinkus close out a wonderful night of music and we really hope you enjoy your night at Nietzsches with us! The music kicks off at 10 pm (Ramforinks not until 1 am), $5. SEE YOU THERE!!
