It was announced today that on top of the previously announced Scion A/V sponsored EP The Bulls and The Bees that is set to release a week from this upcoming Tuesday (March 13th), that primary songwriters Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover are joining forces with Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, and Fatnomas veteran Trevor Dunn to release a full length entitled Freak Puke. The ensemble is being called "Melvins Lite", as the band will be playing with out their most recent rhythm section, which is comprised of Coady Willis and Jared Warren, the frontmen for Seattle slude act Big Business. This is great news for fans because the entire band is goes on tour April with Unsane, and on top of getting a slew of new music, odds are Big Business will be releasing new music soon as well, and it is likely that both Big Business and Melvins Lite end up on tour in the summer / fall. The Melvins won't be coming too close (NYC, Westchester), however we are optimistic that perhaps Melvins Lite and Big Business end up at a place like Mohawk Place over the summer.
