Tonight: Ron Hawkins & The Do Good Assassins

If you're an American and follow rock music you've probably heard the name Lowest of the Low before. If you're a Canadian and follow rock music there's a good possibility Lowest of the Low is your favorite band. Certainly one of the most popular alt-rock groups to come from north of the border, the Low has been killing audiences for years now, led by frontman Ron Hawkins. What you may not know is that Ronny has also had quite a successful stint as a solo artist, along with groups such as the Rusty Nails and the more recent, Do Good Assassins. Tonight, you can find Mr. Hawkins making one of his (frequent) appearances in Buffalo at the Mohawk Place, fronting the Assassins, along with Buffalo's own Jeremy Hoyle. If you like pure, honest Americana, expect your expectations to be met. Hawkins is a whirlwind live, and as dynamic solo as he is fronting big rock bands. Shows at 8. $15 will get you in, but I'd advise to get there early as this may be a sell-out.
