Just Announced: Santigold

Santi White, also known as Santigold, is a true original artist that doesn't just include the music she produces but her entire image. I remember hearing one of her first hits "Creator" in 2008 and thinking "what the hell are these sounds and why do I like it so much?" She has a new album releasing this spring titled, Master of My Make-Believe, and one of the tracks "Disparate Youth" was released a few weeks ago. So check it out below and spend some time listening to her first album because you will have the opportunity to see her perform live at the Town Ballroom in May! Supernaut booking and Funtime presents put together this show that will take place Wednesday, May 16th. Tickets go on sale this Friday at noon and they are $25.

  1. I'm just getting into Santigold's stuff. Definitely a chameleon. I had no idea she was the artist behind the song L.E.S. Artists. Always thought it was the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs. Quite the surprise after I'd heard her tracks that are closer to Missy Elliot sounding. Getting pretty excited to see her at Outside Lands in August. Still need to hear entirety of the new record.

I featured "Disparate Youth" in a recent post.... http://icanseebetterthroughthefog.wordpress.com/2012/05/23/oh-deer/
