Alternative bands with pop tendencies seem to be all the rage these days. And very few are as successful as Neon Tree's, a band who was signed shortly after their tour with the Killers in 2008. Since that time the group has taken their sheen-shine pop rock to greater heights as Habits and Picture Show have steadily climbed the Billboard charts.

Tonight the Tree's will be in town promoting their new album along with another excellent, pop-influenced act, Walk the Moon. Walk the Moon is a bit more indie, a bit artsier and a bit less melodramatic. Nevertheless the two acts compliment each other well and any fan of catchy hooks and blazing melodies will appreciate both. Where else could the show be but Town Ballroom. ($23, 7pm). Get there early as Walk the Moon has been turning heads lately with their live shows.
