San Francisco duo Two Gallants had not released an album in five years and was about damn time they did. The punk-folk tag team first began making waves when they signed to Saddle Creek in the mid-2000's, then seemed to fall off the radar, leaving fans to wonder and wander the "where are they now" portions of their brains.
2012 marks a new era for T.G. as the boys have just released The Bloom and the Blight, a slightly rawer, more catharctic album, as well as signing with ATO Records. Things are looking bright for Two Gallants and we are fortunate enough to have the pleasure of seeing them tonight as they hit the Ninth Ward along with LA's, Papa.
Who knows where we go from here. We could see the band blossom and regain their throne as folk punk kings or we could see them ride into the sunset, dissapearing for several more years before the next album. Catch em while you can. Tickets are $15. Doors are at 7pm.
