Rocket From The Tombs will be blasting off at Mohawk Place this evening with special guests, Magi Chippi and The High Flyin' Babys. Starting out in the mid-1970s, RFTT has long been known in Buffalo as they are our Rust Belt brethren, hailing from Cleveland, Ohio.
The band themselves hold somewhat of a mystic aura around them, as their catalog is only known in the form of songs performed by subsequent bands formed by different original members... the original lineup for RFTT never recorded an album during their initial time together.
It all seems very fitting for a band regarded as instrumental to the mid-70s scene that would give rise to punk music as it is known today.
