Twerking: a dance made well-known by Diplo and his music video for "Express Yourself." Keep in mind the twerk and the booty clap have existed long before thousands of girls began tweeting pictures expressing themselves everyday to the Mad Decent stud. Also, I cannot emphasize this enough, twerking takes a little bit more than propping ones self upside down against a wall, which in all honesty is what most of those girls are doing. The production value of these music videos can range from professional and eccentric glamor to true hardcore. To follow the Diplo theme, just a few days ago he finally released a video for "Butter's Theme," another track off of his Express Yourself EP. Featuring Billy The Gent and Long Jawns, otherwise known as Gent & Jawns, this track drips with sex. Diplo's videos are always mind-blowing; since the release last year, I've been waiting to see what this video would be like. The visuals in this one are wildly psychedelic consisting of a kaleidoscope of beautiful women; it's Mortal Kombat meets the trippy scene of The Big Lebowski. Unexpectedly, a deity-esque woman appears, and also keep an eye out for Ellie Goulding's cameo. Props to Diplo once again.
