The spirit of 90's hip hop is alive and well thanks to the work of Buffalo's Essential Vitamins Crew. 

With a sound that draws from the soulful sampling style of the late J Dilla and celebrates the timeless, often forgotten music of decades past, EVC producer Cove creates instrumentals capable of evoking elegance while remaining true to the brash boom-bap style of hip hop production. 

Following up his Tapedeck Beats collection, given an album of the week nod here at buffaBLOG back in January, the producer is aiming to release a new batch of sounds every month. His February installment, Love.Lost/Love.Gained is a self-described "Lovey dovey, rough around the edges, break up to make up collection of hip hop inspired instrumentals." The 15 track album can be heard on the EVC bandcamp page and is available as a free download.
