Anyone who knows metal knows that Testament and Overkill never got their fair due. As two pioneering thrash acts in the 80's, they set the standard for brutal, heavy riffage, and have carried that torch til the present day, credibility still intact. Wanna talk the Big Four? How about we talk the Big Seven? Testament and Overkill surely belong on that list (#7 would be Exodus).
Tonight, both those bands will be representing on the Dark Roots of Thrash Tour, along with Flotsam & Jetsam and 4Arm. The show's at the only place that could hold this kind of energy; Town Ballroom ($29, 7pm). You can't call yourself a true metalhead unless you worship both bands. Prediction: Gnarliest pit of the year. Thrash or be thrashed!
