Danny Brown, currently readying Old, a followup to 2011's breakthrough XXX, released the single, "Kush Coma," earlier this week. "Kush Coma" features Brown rapidly delivering lines about extraordinary weed consumption over apocalyptic glittering synth beats. It is, honestly, not his best work, but a song that will probably be an obvious crowd pleaser at live performances. In the end, the song seems a little too generic, especially given how unique much XXX was. Hopefully the rest of the album features that same initial burst of creativity.
