Anyone who thought Sigur Ros was getting soft on us after their last release, the ambient, easy listening Valtari, best believe the long time Icelandic post-rockers still have something up their sleeves. And it looks like losing long time multi-instrumentalist Kjartan Sveinsson wont have an immidiate effect at least for the time being. The now three piece's "Brennisteinn" is one of their most musically agressive songs to date. Chaotic drums, industrial guitars, and a terrifying video that will certainly haunt my dreams for the near future give this band the jolt that it kind of needed. "Brennisteinn" can be found on Sigur Ros' upcoming Kveikur, set to be released on June 18th.
