Brooklyn's Deep Pockets are the type
band you might hear on a 90s indie film soundtrack. Their tight
alternative style would be the perfect score
to the Scene where a disenfranchised 20-something gets Put Out by someone or some circumstance, then
Deep Pockets play, and then the movie hits a concatenation of low
points and ennui. Or the other way around. Misleadingly straight-forward and catchy but with definite
punch. They'll be playing at The Jungle Gym tonight (357
Breckenridge, 6PM, $5), along with some of Buffalo's best underground
acts: Wooden Waves, Mapmaker, and Space Wolves. Check out DP's Art of
the Underground release below, and don't miss this all-around rad
night of music.
