Limp Bizkit – rap-rock pioneers or alt-rock pariahs, depending on your general attitude in life – are coming to the Town Ballroom on Tuesday, May 7th as part of their sold-out club tour. This is one of those “sentences I never thought I’d type,” but I guess sometimes you just gotta have faith.
You can brush off this event as a waste of time or you can show up and embrace the scene: 90’s kids positively giddy with excitement, reuniting with one of their favorite guilty pleasures; teenagers asking themselves “what is happening right now;” and actual fans going crazy, unable to believe that they are close enough to touch Fred Fucking Durst, wondering whether or not Korn will be joining them on this leg of the tour. You can go, and you can go for several different reasons; the fun, the nostalgia, the irony, or the nookie.
Kidding aside, this band is awful. I recently re-listened to Significant Other, and was left wondering why my parents didn’t intervene sooner. But this event will still sell out, and I will still go. Just don’t ask me why, because whenever Limp Bizkit is involved in anything, it’s really best not to ask too many questions. Just go with it. Just keep rollin’.

It's crazy that this band was ever popular, we were all idiots.
