Gold Panda's music has always possessed a certain meditative quality. The way beats and samples are looped focus the attention and turn the listener inward, qualities evident on his latest track, "Brazil." A clicking beat and the repetition of the word, "Brazil," act as an anchor to surround a shimmering melody, which slowly changes over the course of the track. Everything is mixed together seamlessly and the effect is calming. Gold Panda's new album, Half of Where You Live, will be released on June 10th.
