Earlier this week, Plainsman, the allegedly well endowed front man of Buffalo's shock rockin outlaws Well Worn Boot, posted the trailer to the upcoming film BUMRUSH!. Shot during his trip out west to Boulder, Colorado, where I would assume a lot soul searching took place, the trailer shows the musician encountering local buskers, trying to publicly score some weed, and downing shots of whiskey and srirache. Recent posts on the Boot's Facebook page suggests that this film could be Plainsman's attempt at some Hunter S. Thompson gonzo journalism. The full film is said to be coming soon, so keep an eye out. I really just can't see the appeal of these guys. They play well enough. I probably don't get it. I'm all for supporting local music but really???
^ it's basically a humorous character project that combines rural southern bands with doors-esque antics in an incredibly crude way. It's basically a mix between GWAR and metalocalypse if it were classic rock based.
