I don't have many acts on my concert bucket list these days, but King Khan & the Shrines have been firmly entrenched on it for some time. While I await the chance to catch the punk-soul blitzkrieg in action, they are prepping the release of their latest album, Idle No More, due out later this summer via Merge Records. The album's first single, "Born to Die," kicks off with a crunchy riff and some tense strings. From there, the band goes a little psych rock on us until a killer horn section closes out the tune. I like it. I like it a lot. Idle No More will be released on September 3rd.
