Buffalo Infringement Festival: Day 4

Buffalo's busiest and most unique summer festival continues today as Infringement kicks off at noon with performances around the city. Sunday's schedule features a typically overwhelming lineup of live music at venues like The Foundry, El Buen Amigo, Rust Belt Books, and Allentown's College Street. Here's a look at some of the shows you'll want to catch amidst all the action.

Short
The Koolie High affiliated MC takes the stage at 3pm as a part of the People's park Hip Hop Blowout. His latest album, Sex Drugs Losing Control, is one of the best local releases of the year and is full of classic hip hop vibes. The Dibia$e produced track, "Insomnia," featuring fellow local rappers Mic Excel and Dr.Ooo was featured in Nickel City Blend's Garage Sessions series and is an excellent example of some of the best local talent coming together for a track full of skilled lyricism and dizzying flows.

Erin Sydney Welsh
The Clarence born singer-songwriter plays a 5pm show at the porch of the Coming Home Buffalo Center for Holistics and Arts. Having been compared to artists like Ani DiFranco and Tracy Chapman, the young guitarist's folk influenced pop style has earned her recognition locally, playing shows at the Tralf, Babeville, as well as the Music Is Art Festival.

Legal The Lifesaver
Member of Essential Vitamins Crew and hip hop duo Mic & Life, Legal The Lifesaver performs at the Slammin Sunday showcase at 8pm at Electric Avenue cafe. The rapper's high energy delivery and fiery flows are what make local hip hop so inspiring, as the love for the genre is apparent in every track. Lazy Ass Destroyer, Drop D, and Short round out the bill for one of the best rap shows Infringement has to offer.
