If you haven't been checking out the
Malones lately, you've been making some serious life mistakes. The
Buffalo three-piece is like a fusion of Tennis, older Modest Mouse,
and Vampire Weekend, and features members of local luminaries Signo
Vinces, Arctic Death, and more – it's fussy, hectic, and
recalcitrantly sunny, as you can imagine. The good news is you can
stop being a sack of rented curmudgeons, and go see them at Jungle Gym tonight, where they'll be holding it down along with the spacepop signals of Aircraft – a local band so good they are sure to take off
(I'm so sorry) – along with Blacklight Dahlia and Filmstrip (from
Cleveland). Don't just sit there like a bump on a log, head to the
'west village' for this stacked bill.
