Every now and then a band comes along with songs so catchy they can't be denied. Such is the case with Giuda; an Italian rock'n'roll band that mixes anthemic, 70's glam rock ala the Slade/Sweet variety, with early UK punk (the Buzzcocks buzzsaw hooks or Newtown Neurotics come to mind). Anthem is the key word here. Big chants, crunched out-fuzz riffage. Harmonic thunder. Giuda has been slowly building a buzz and tonight we're about to find out what all the excitement is about.
Along with Buffalo's own One Way Terror and No Prevail, Guida will be making pit stop in Buffalo tonight at the Tudor Lounge (335 Franklin St.) An under-the-radar venue, the Tudor proves a perfect spot for Giuda's brand of blue collar, good times rock'n'roll. Check them out below. If Giuda doesn't get you dancing, I don't know what will. Shows at 7 ($5).
