When I listen to Dopapod, my heart shivers a beat and tugs on my brain chords--what is this ridiculous and mesmerizing combination of sounds? The four-piece ensemble shatters genre lines, and while they may be classified as a "jam" band, their sound easily defies the label, coming closer to jazz-styled improvisations and well-rehearsed composition.
