Tonight: Holland Weissman Duo

Tonight, musicians Liz Holland and Katie Weissman will perform as a duo, featuring four new pieces composed specifically to highlight their unique brand of contemporary classical music.
Holland (Masters in Music Performance from the University at Buffalo) and Weissman (Bachelors of Music in Cello Performance from Boston University) will perform percussion and cello, respectively. The concert begins at 8:00 PM at the Pausa Art House and includes a $5 entry charge.
The event marks the beginning of "Women in Music," a project that aims to promote female composers and performers involved in the contemporary music scene. They look forward to touring various schools and performing arts centers.
Jennifer Bellor, Haley Shaw, Jenece Gerber, and Darlene Chepil Reid are each credited with composing the four featured pieces.
