Throughout the week, up-and-coming producer Chauncey Tails,
has dominated my free-time listening. Based out of Gowanda, NY, Chauncey has
had four releases in 2013, but has just recently popped on our radar at
buffaBLOG after releasing his latest EP, W A V E Y U. There are two
distinct flavors in Chauncey’s repertoire. First is the immediately engaging
electronic compositions reminiscent of a trilled out Baths, Xxyyxx, or Star Slinger.
The other part of Chauncey Tails is his lo-fi, rap, hyper sexual/emotional
side that almost sound like an R&B Wavves. I have grown to
appreciate both as their own entity, and when combined into one project, I
would describe Chauncey Tails as jarringly beautiful. Check him out below and hopefully we will see him live in 2014.
