After nearly a year in the works, Bring Me Your Vultures, the official documentary of Mohawk Place and the venue's final days, will finally make its debut on Saturday, January 11th. One year to the day of the Last Waltz Night 1, the Town Ballroom will be hosting a viewing party for the film and tickets are currently on sale for $10. Here is the catch though. All expenses for this project of passion are coming out of the pockets of the doc's hard working filmmakers and they are kind of running out, so if you want the opportunity to own a copy of the film or some official merchandise, then consider donating to the film's indiegogo fundraising page.
Like most funding programs, donating is worth your while. For example, a $1 donation will get you a good old thank you. Nothing crazy, but every dollar helps and it will not go unnoticed. $20 will get you a copy of the documentary. I like what I am hearing. $25 gets you a silk screened poster of the documentary cover. I already have a spot on my wall picked out. Although unlisted, rumor has it that a $100 donation gets Erik Roesser to attend a show of your choice at the Waiting Room...Kidding, but you get the idea. The full list of incentives can be found at Bring Me Your Vultures indiegogo page.
As of the time of this posting, a total of $30 of the $2500 goal has been reached. That is not a lot so far, but there is still 28 days to reach the goal. If you happen to have some extra cash left over after your holiday shopping, then consider donating to the filmmakers' goal.
