Spaniard Borja Laudo is the man behind the Zaragozan one-man-band Bigott. Laudo dances over all sorts of boundaries with his traditional Spanish folk roots (though he sings primarily in English), swarthy vocals, catchy pop hooks, and indie weirdness.
From 2006 to Bigott's most recent in early 2013, he has released six albums, each becoming more and more pop-driven and straight-forward in song structure. The 2013 release Blue Jeans is over-flowing with traditional folk and flamenco styles. Every track is sensationally filling in a different way, making it tough to include just one song for consumption. If this isn't enough, of course there is more to satisfy your palate via Bandcamp.
Holy sh!t, thanks Jaz! This guy is f'n amazing, I'm glad I perused the Buffablog today and found a new folk-pop favorite
