I don't know about you, but I love a good countdown, and the countdown is definitely on to the February 25th release of St Vincent's eponymous fourth solo album and first since 2012's excellent Love This Giant collaboration with David Byrne. The countdown actually began when the first single "Birth In Reverse" hit the Internet last month, but now it's in high gear with this week's debut of the video to "Digital Witness," directed by Chino Moya. A dazzling fusion of Talking Heads visuals, Pink Floyd-esque grandeur, and the funky and potent mojo of Annie Clark (do I need to explain the "St Vincent is Annie's nom de plume" thing? Really? Didn't think so), it's visual stimuli is the perfect accompaniment to the song's sweet and immensely satisfying ear candy. With a new album out in a few weeks and a hotly antipicpated show in April, it's a great time to be a local St Vincent fan, and if you're new to her work now's the time to check her out starting right now. Enjoy.

I didn't really like this track at first. Funny how visuals can help me get into it. Still a little strange though.
