John Brown's Body are bringing their "Future Roots" reggae sound to The Tralf tonight along with Dub is a Weapon. These two bands represent decades of performing experience having toured all over the United States, Europe, and more recently New Zealand. Incorporating dub, drum and bass, and hip-hop into their sound along with traditional reggae, JBB brings something different to every performance.
The focal point of JBB's live show is definitely vocalist Elliot Martin. His energy and style elevate the presentation of the entire band and leaves the audience with an image to remember. They also have a four-part horn section that provides a rich texture to back up Martin's voice along with their locked in rhythm section.
This is one band you definitely want to catch live. The Tralf is about as good of a venue in which you'll be able to catch them as well. With an opener like Dub is a Weapon, this could be the reggae show of the year. Definitely come check it out.
