This Saturday, The Beastie Boys will return to the airwaves when they drop their newest single "Make Some Noise" as a special 7 inch Record Store Day single. The song was actually leaked last Wednesday, but it only took a few hours before every Soundcloud & Youtube version was removed from the web in what I imagine was a 'sabotage' like sting operation. And while we'll still have to wait a few more days for another chance to listen to a legit Beastie Boys song, the other side of the 7 inch is still streaming all over the web for your listening pleasure. Side B contains a remix of "Make Some Noise" creatively diced up and reworked by none other than Ayad Al Adhamy of Passion Pit. Ayad changes the background beat from a funky horns sample to a the kind of lush electric dance party number Passion Pit have made their name with. In all honestly, I didn't love this remix initially, but now I can't get its Manners-like groove out of my head!
