Phantogram emerged on the music scene last year with their terrific first album, Eyelid Movies. Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter are the music geniuses behind the electronic duo Phantogram; and last month they released their second piece of work titled Nightlife. The EP is only 6 tracks long but kicks off with two awesome songs right in the beginning. "16 Years" and "Don't Move" are the both excellent songs that are true to the overall Phantogram sound with a little more upbeatness and danceability. The third track "Turning Into Stone", continues the great sounds with Josh Carter on lead vocals and complex layers that build the song to a dark anthem. The EP is definitely a successful follow up to their first album, although I would have liked it to be longer than 6 tracks. Nightlife is proof that Phantogram is just getting started in the business of making music and we can expect a lot more for them.
