The holidays are approaching fast and one of our most anticipated holidays showcases of the winter just recently was announced(sorry, we are a couple days behind on this one).  The DIY, Potomac based label, Steak & Cake Records, will be hosting their own festive party at Mohawk Place on Friday, December 9th.  The lineup is full of buffaBLOG favs including Harvestsum's blues rock trio Johnny Nobody, the uber-mysterious and rather brooding Sea Snake Vs., and the alt rocking, dream pop offerings of Nelson-Type.  Other acts include Casey B., a reunion performance from Supercomputer, and even a jazz ensemble that will be announced a bit later on.  Cover to the show is $8, but keep in mind that this is a charity show, with proceeded supporting "Let the Band Play On", a campaign to help provide musical instruments for local Buffalo public schools.
