Tonight: The Tins

Buffalo-based trio The Tins are set to revel in some hometown pride tonight as they take the stage at Medaille College. Comprised of Adam Putzer, Mike Santillo and Dave Muntner, the group has stayed relatively local in the past year or so, but have made big noise beyond Western New York since their debut EP was released in 2010.

The self-titled EP earned the group a spot at CMJ as well as some praise from across the pond as UK blog The Recommender recognized the band for its clean sound. Guitar, keyboards and drums come together to create an indie rock sound that's truly their own as The Tins take a slight influence from the past and update it for today. One track in particular that's garnered a good amount of hype is "The Green Room" that combines drawn-out twangy guitar with steady runs of keyboard arpeggios, complimented by the harmonies of Putzer and Santillo.

Doors for tonight's show open at 11 p.m.
