As I write this, windy gusts of snow are pummeling my windows and forcing me to reconsider my trip to the grocery store. So wouldn't it seem at odds that a band playing their debut show tonight is called Sunset Wakeup??? That is perhaps the most summer-y name I've ever heard and I see no sun...anywhere. Perhaps it's some of that eerie Friday the 13th karma...who knows. Even the music is summertastic! The synth heavy pop-driven group have unmistakably catchy hooks and one look at the video already has you longing for tanktops and flip-flops. Whether you like this kind of music or not, it's pretty hard to deny that they have hook-appeal. Tonight the group will be playing Mohawk with a bunch of other openers including Hal Jordan, Chasing Adrium, The Ways of Tom, The Upstate Farewell. Shows at 7pm.
