Something interesting has happened over the past several years in Buffalo:  I have started seeing local music that didn't suck. Even more interesting, the shows were attended by more than the typical 5 sweaty, hairy nerds such as myself. One such act that I haven't been able to stop listening to is Voodoo Friends, who is part of a growing electronic music scene that has been brewing steadily over the past few years. This is his remix of The Joy Formidable's "Whirring", which he cuts up into a playful, bouncy dance anthem.  You can check him out live at The Bend on January 26th with The Wakos.
