It seems like Girl Talk has been rumored to play almost everywhere in Buffalo over the last couple years.  Town Ballroom, Artpark, UB Spring Fest, and countless other venues have been a potential landing spot for the uber popular mash up artist, but nothing ever really came about.  Over the past couple weeks, twitter and facebook have been a blaze with Girl Talk....ummm....talk.  The official announcement, though, finally came today via the facebook page to the Outer Harbor Concert Series(a collaboration between Fun Time and After Dark Entertainment).  In association with Supernaut Productions, the series will host Girl Talk on August 23rd, the same night that Buffalo Place closes their Thursday at the Harbor Series with Matt Nathanson.  Quite the decision to be made.........or not. 

Girl Talk, by the way, is the alter ego of Pittsbugh DJ Gregg Gillis, a biomedical research engineer turned electronic giant.  He has been releasing albums since his 2002 debut Secret Diary, with his most recent release being 2010's All Day.  Gillis' accessible music really has made him quite popular over the years, even to the casual electronic dance fan, so don't hesitate to grab a ticket as the show should sell out.  Prices are not out yet, but this show goes on sale this Friday, June 15th at noon at Outer Harbor Concert's website and TicketMaster outlets.
