Tonight, indie electronic artist Santigold takes the stage at the Town Ballroom. She is a true original artist who experiments with a unique sound and style. She has collaborated with some of the best including Jay Z, Kanye West, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Beastie Boys, and Diplo. Her second album Master of My Make-Believe, has been getting rave reviews since its May 1st release.
The first time I ever heard Santigold was watching a dance performance to her song "Creator" off her first album in 2008. The song seriously channels some outer space alien sounds and even through its strange style its insanely catchy. Her first single of this latest album "Disparate Youth" might be my favorite of all her work. I haven't had a chance to fully listen to whole album yet but stay tuned on buffaBLOG for a review very soon.
The doors are at 7 PM tonight with supporting act Rye Rye starting off the night around 8 pm. Tickets are $25.
